The Professional Skills Necessary for Students of Sharia and Regulations to Work in the Saudi Judiciary

Abstract

This research deals with skill, judicial competency, how they are acquired, and the professional ethics that should be available in the judges, as well as the most important professional skills needed by students of Sharia and regulations in order to be prepared to work in the judiciary. The research concluded that the judiciary is a precise industry, only mastered by man after practice, application, and training, until he\she reaches the necessary skill, and hence the predecessors used to travel to seek judicial skills. In addition, our students need knowledge of the substantive provisions, besides the theoretical and procedural assets of the judiciary, and that they have to read a lot about its systemic and jurisprudential aspects, in order to complete their jurisprudential construction. They also need training in managing judicial sessions professionally and effectively, and to be familiar with the ways of proceeding in the case from beginning to end, and the procedures of the case, as well as familiarity with the regulations in the Kingdom. Furthermore, judge enjoys complete independence, so that he does not favor anyone so as not to violate the sanctity of justice and does not betray the duty that is entrust to him.
