Rules of Weightage of the Exegetists

Abstract

This research included a preface, four chapters, a conclusion and indexes. It aims at elucidating the significance of the rules of weightage of the exegetists, and providing examples and applications of weightage in the exegesis of the predecessors. To reach the aims of the research, the researcher followed the inductive deductive approach.

The most important results of the research are: apprehending weighting styles and formulas of the exegetists, identifying the books of exegesis in which the rules of weightage appear, as well as confirming that interpretation of the words of Allah should not be carried out unless these rules are employed on them.

The most important recommendations are: teaching these rules in universities, especially those dealing with interpreting the Book of Allah the Almighty, in addition to holding seminars and conferences on this topic.
