Abstract

The current research aims at introducing hybrid education and quality assurance of higher education in the Republic of Yemen in light of the Covid-19 pandemic. The research deals with the impact of Covid-19 on education, giving a brief overview of the concepts of hybrid education and quality assurance of higher education, tapping on the criteria for the success of hybrid education and its quality requirements, and clarifying the obstacles that prevent its implementation, and then developing a depiction about the requirements of hybrid education and the mechanisms and procedures for its implementation and application in higher education institutions in the Republic of Yemen in general and the University of Aden in particular in light of the Covid-19 pandemic. These were represented by organizational requirements, technical infrastructure requirements, human requirements, forming liable committees to follow up and support the implementation of this system, developing a training plan to introduce the hybrid education system, standardizing training and dividing it into stages and procedures, qualifying the faculty member and the learner, decisions related to the product, steps for teaching formation and determining mechanisms and procedures for implementing hybrid education, and the research came up with a number of proposals, the most important of which are the requirements for applying hybrid education in the faculties of the University of Aden from the viewpoint of faculty members and students.
