Keywords:
faculty, University of Hodeidah, grammarAbstract
The research problem was formulated in the following questions:
To what extent do members of the grammar faculty at the University of Hodeidah practice the standard and inductive methods from the point of view of their students?
The following questions are derived from this question:
To what extent do members of the grammar faculty at the University of Hodeidah practice the standard method from the point of view of their students?
To what extent do members of the grammar faculty at the University of Hodeidah practice the inductive method from the point of view of their students?
Are there statistically significant differences due to the college variable?
Are there statistically significant differences due to the variable of specialization?
Are there statistically significant differences due to the method variable?
And aim to:
- Detecting the extent to which the faculty members at the University of Hodeidah practice the deductive and inductive method in their teaching of the grammar course.
- Provide a list of the teaching steps in the standard and inductive methods that a member of the grammar teaching staff and others will benefit from.
Presenting a vision to those responsible for the reality of grammar teaching using the methods of deduction and induction.
Putting solutions and proposals in the light of the results.
It sought to verify the following hypotheses:
Faculty members practice the standard method of teaching grammar with a very good grade.
Faculty members practice the inductive method in their teaching of grammar, with a very good grade.
There are no statistically significant differences due to the college variable.
There are no statistically significant differences due to the variable of specialization.
There are no statistically significant differences due to the method variable.
The researcher used the descriptive approach, and his tool was the questionnaire, and he used a number of methods in the statistical analysis.
The research reached a number of results, which are:
- The use of the standard method by the grammar faculty members got 71.2%.
Their use of the inductive method got 65%.
Their use of the two methods totaled 68%.
These are weak percentages, according to what the researcher had hoped for, and he gave him an estimate he deems appropriate, which is 80% at least.
The College of Education in Zabid came first in the sample response, followed by the College of Education in Hodeidah, and finally the College of Arts.
