Abstract

The current study aimed to identify the role of artificial intelligence applications in developing professional performance among social workers in Riyadh. This study is a descriptive study, and a research tool (questionnaire) was applied. It adopted the descriptive analytical approach, and the sample consisted of (280) social workers from Riyadh. The study reached several results as follows: there is a tendency in the viewpoint of the study sample (social workers) to have the questionnaire axes as a whole in an average degree. The first axis, which refers to the role of artificial intelligence applications in improving the cognitive performance of the social worker, came in the first place in the questionnaire as a whole, with an average of (4.36). The second axis, which refers to the skill performance of the social worker, came in the second place in the questionnaire as a whole, with an average of (2.93). The third axis, which refers to the value performance of the social worker, came in the third place in the questionnaire as a whole, with an average of (2.05). The results also showed that there was a statistically significant difference at the level of (0.05) between the averages of the answers of the study sample members regarding the role of artificial intelligence applications in improving the professional performance of the social worker according to experience in favor of the group with more than (10) years.
