Abstract

The study aimed to identify the negative effects of the multiple roles of Saudi working women on the quality of family life in light of some variables and to provide proposals to reduce these effects. To achieve this goal, the descriptive survey method was employed. A questionnaire was used to collect data from the study sample, which consisted of 504 working women in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The study reached several findings, the most important of which are: that the negative effects of the multiple roles of Saudi working women on the quality of family life were found to be high, a high level of agreement among the study sample on the reasons that lead to the negative effects of the multiple roles of Saudi working women on the quality of family life, and a very high level of agreement on the proposals that reduce the negative effects of the multiple roles of Saudi working women on the quality of family life. The study presented some recommendations, such as the necessity of supporting governmental and social programs for the working woman.
