Abstract

Research title: Explanation of the Maturid interpretations of Aladdi al-Samarqandi (d. 539 AH), the last quarter of Surat Al-Hajj, an investigation and study.

It is a scientific investigation and study of the explanation of the Maturidi interpretations of Ala al-Din al-Samarqandi, in which he explained the book Interpretations of the Sunnis by Abu Mansur al-Maturidi.

The importance of the topic is evident in several things:  Among them: This topic is related to the science of interpretation, which is one of the most noble sciences, and it is also related to the explanation of Maturidi interpretations.  It is a reference for interpretation, has scientific value, and contains multiple arts, interesting issues, and precise benefits. It is also important for the advanced age of the author, as he lived at the end of the fifth century and the beginning of the sixth century AH.

One of the most important things that prompted me to choose this topic was to bring out the heritage of the scholars of the Islamic nation, and the existence of a number of copies of this manuscript, as well as to acquire the skills of scientific investigation of the manuscripts of our scholars.  During the research and investigation according to the issues addressed by the author in the manuscript, and benefiting from accompanying an advanced manuscript that has scientific value and great importance among the books of interpretation, and the honor of serving the Book of God Almighty - by achieving an explanation of the Maturid interpretations and studying them according to scientific standards, and alerting doctrinal errors in the manuscript resulting from the interpretation.  Wrong text.

 At the conclusion of the research, I found that the author’s attribution of the book to the author was correct, and it was also shown that Aladdin followed the Maturidite doctrine, demonstrated aspects of the Maturidite doctrine, and followed up the opposing doctrines with refutation, and in it he followed the Hanafi doctrine.
