Promoting Integrity Values among Employees in the Public and Private Sectors in Saudi Society

The study aimed to identify the reality of the practice of employees in the public and private sectors of the values of integrity, as well as the role of related state institutions and bodies, in addition to identifying appropriate mechanisms to promote the values of integrity among employees in the public and private sectors in the Saudi society. The researcher used the descriptive analytical approach and a questionnaire to collect data from a sample of (800) employees in the cities of Riyadh and Jeddah. Among the most prominent results of the study is that the reality of the practice of employees of the values of integrity in the two sectors scored a high degree, as the Kingdom's Vision 2030 contributed to promote the values of integrity in the institutions of the two sectors. The most prominent role of the related state institutions and bodies is to protect informants of corruption, in addition to their contribution to establishing the principles and moral values of integrity for the individual and society. Furthermore, regarding the appropriate mechanisms, the most prominent of these were (coordination with the media to spread the culture of integrity and fighting corruption, as well as coordinating with all institutions of the National Authority to promote and develop the necessary measures to prevent crimes of corruption). The current study showed that there are statistically significant differences among the study participants on the reality of the practice of employees in the two sectors of integrity values according to the variable of place of residence in favor of the city of Jeddah, and the variable of the labor sector in favor of the private sector. The study recommended continuous awareness and the attentiveness of the public and private sectors to maintain the high level of integrity among employees, by improving the level of salaries of employees and workers, especially in the lower ranks.
