Abstract

Abstract:

This research dealt with the prophetic approach in the debate with non-Muslims, including the infidels, the polytheists and the people of the book, with a review of images and models of what this controversy contained, with the introduction of limited models and images of the prophetic debate with non-Muslims, in addition to some features of this approach to benefit from it, using the approach  Descriptive analytical based on induction and deduction.

The researcher concluded with results, the most important of which are: The method of argumentation by incapacity was among the methods used by the Messenger Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace, by which he established arguments and proofs of the validity of his call.  They are: comparison, determination, passing, and invalidation.  The Prophet's methodology in arguing with non-Muslims was also characterized by arguing for the call, not for the same argument, out of keenness to invite people to Islam and guide them with it.  The Prophet's approach in arguing with non-Muslims relied on the strength of argument and evidence, in affirming what is correct, establishing the truth, refuting falsehood, refuting and refuting suspicions, and dropping false allegations.  The researcher recommended the need to study and follow the prophetic approach in debate, mubahala, influence and persuasion, and similar topics.  To take advantage of the richness of the prophetic curriculum and its comprehensiveness of all methods of calling for Islam, defending it and arguing with opponents.
