Abstract

The research aims to clarify the approach of the Noble Qur’an in dealing with social customs through Surat Al-Baqarah, depending on the inductive approach according to the rules of objective interpretation.

This research dealt with the features of the Holy Qur’an approach in dealing with the social customs that were prevalent among the Arabs before the mission of the Prophet ﷺ through Surat Al-Baqarah through the invalid acts of worship arising from social customs, social habits in food, social customs in transactions and manners, and social habits in the family.

The research concluded with important results, the most important of which are:

  1. The importance of knowing the customs of the Arabs; Because it helped to understand many of the verses that are related to those customs.
  2. The uniqueness of the Qur’an’s approach in dealing with the pests and habits inherent in the soul, and transforming society from a pre-Islamic society to a sound Islamic society.
  3. The approach of the Noble Qur’an in dealing with social customs is based on gradual treatment of each habit according to it and in an appropriate manner.
  4. The Qur’an treats every habit according to its size. So what was rooted in society, it continued for a long time to treat it. In order not to lose this society, as is the custom of prohibiting alcohol, which is rooted in the Arabs.
