The main foundations of difference among interpreters
Keywords:
Difference, Difference of interpreters, Foundations of difference, Difference in interpretationAbstract
This research dealt with the main foundations on which the differences among the interpreters revolved.
The research included an introduction, two chapters, a conclusion and indexes.
The first chapter dealt with the concept of difference in the terminology of interpreters, and the ruling on its occurrence in interpretation.
The second chapter talked about the diversity of the reasons for the differences, and the foundations on which they revolved.
As for the approach followed in this research, it is: the descriptive approach and the inductive analytical approach. The research aims to attempt to summarize the reasons that caused the interpreters to differ, and to limit them to main foundations that facilitate attributing the reasons to them in order to identify the reason of difference.
The research concluded with results, the most important of which are:
- The different sayings in interpretation are: different sayings that came to clarify the meaning, whether this difference can bear contradiction or not.
- The difference in understandings and the multiplicity of minds that dealt with the Qur’anic text, in light of the breadth of its meanings and the linguistic structures and Arabic styles that characterize its text, are the main causes of the emergence of differences among interpreters.
- The difference in interpretation was based on four reasons: the difference in narration and transmission, and the multiplicity of styles and diverse structures that characterize the Arabic language, as well as all the changes that occurred in the text such as lifting the ruling, specifying the general or restricting the absolute, in addition to the interpreter’s fanaticism for his sect or doctrine.
