Abstract

This study addressed the topic of "the Boys Mentioned in the Holy Qur'an: A Subjective Study"

Objectives of this research: 1- Presentation of the term "Boys" and "Children" mentioned in the religious texts; 2- Responding to the slanders promoted by some spiteful of Islam from Christians and others, and that they are mere deliberate distortions of the texts.

To achieve the objectives of this study, the analytical, inductive and subjective approach will be employed to define the concept of the term "boys" and its synonyms. The critical approach will also be relied upon to refute the doubts raised about the creation of boys and the claim that they are related to satisfying the sexual desires of some Muslims.

The nature of the study requires that it consists of: an introduction, two chapters, several subdivisions and a conclusion containing the most prominent results and recommendations. The plan of research encompassed two chapters, each with three subdivisions. The first chapter is about: the term "boys" and whatever relates to it; it included defining the term "boys", its derivatives and its denotations at large, in addition to the difference between "boys" and "children". The second chapter is about: issues related "boys"; it contained the verses in which "boys" is mentioned in this life and in the afterlife, in addition to the doubts raised about mentioning "boys" in the Qur'an and refuting it.

The conclusion embraces the most prominent results and recommendations, including:

1) The difference between the word "children" and "child" and the word "boy" by means of dictionary books.

2) The immortal boys were not created for homosexuals as some atheists claim, by referring to the opinions of the interpreters and scholars in explaining the meaning of the verses in which this term and its synonyms were mentioned.

3) The absence of morals and satisfaction with lies and fabrication are among the major reasons for raising doubts.

4) Everyone with deviated mind deviates from the correct understanding and the highest purpose of the meanings of the verses and hadiths.

5) Relying on weak and fabricated traces and news is one of the reasons for criticism and doubts about the Qur’an and the Prophetic hadith.

The most important recommendations:

  • Pay attention to distinct studies to refute doubts.
