Abstract

This research deals with: (The choices of Al-Samin Al-Halabi in leveling the Qira’at (modes of Qur’anic recitations) through his book Al-Durr Al-Masun “The First Part of the Qur’an as an Collection and Study”).

The researcher aimed to achieve the following goals:

• Collecting the choices of Al-Samin Al-Halabi in leveling the Qira'at from his book Al-Durr Al-Masun.
• Explanation of Al-Halabi's methodology in proving his choices in leveling the Qira'at.
• Extraction of formulas and methods for Al-Samin Al-Halabi.

Research Methodology: The inductive and analytical approach.

The researcher concluded the following results:

• There are ten places in which Al-Samin Al-Halabi chose to level the Qira'at in his book Al-Durr Al-Masun in the first part of the Qur’an.
• The chosen formulas of Al-Samin Al-Halabi differs, he may choose by selecting the chosen saying, such as his saying: “and the correct one”, “which is the apparent”, and he may stipulate the weakness of the opposing saying.
• Al-Samin Al-Halabi’s concern for the interpretation of his sheikh Abi Hayyan, and more than quoting him, as he agreed with him on six issues, and disagreed with him on two issues, just as there are two issues in which he did not choose his sheikh.

The researcher also recommends the following:

• Collecting and studying the places in which Al-Samin Al-Halabi chose to level the Qira'at in his book Al-Durr Al-Masun, from beginning to end; To come up with integrated results for Al-Samin choices in levelling.
