Allah, the Almighty, has made the occurrence of calamities and crises a cosmic law for all people, righteous and sinful. All of God's actions are the result of His knowledge and wisdom, some of which we know and are apparent to us, and some of which are not perceived by our minds and our understanding. The researcher chose this subject, entitled (Dealing with Epidemics through the Narrations of Umawas Plague - an objective study in light of Sunnah), due to the close relationship between Umawas plague and the new Corona epidemic (Covid-19) that has swept the whole world today in several aspects, and to clarify the scientific miracles in prophetic medicine in general, and in the field of preventive medicine in particular, as it contains accurate medical information that scientists did not reach until late times, in addition to emphasizing the greatness of Islamic law in general, and the Prophet’s Sunnah in particular, and proving its perfection and comprehensiveness, and the validity of its application until the Day of Judgment. Through this, it is evident that Allah has mercy on His creatures, as He did not leave them without a good example to follow if calamity engulfed them. This research sheds light on the measures and wise precautionary actions adopted by Umar ibn al-Khattab in the face of the plague, and its prevention, which are consistent with the texts of the authentic and proven Sunnah. This is with the necessity of adopting the means of preventing contagious material and moral diseases and the firm belief that we are fleeing from the Destiny of Allah to the Destiny of Allah.
The nature of the research forces its division into five topics, after an introduction. The first topic handles the definition of the plague and the scholars' doctrines of differentiating between it and the epidemic. The second topic handles the Umawas plague and the preventive measures derived from it. The third topic handles the virtue of patience over the plague, epidemics and diseases, with two considerations: the first: as a mercy for Muslims, and the second: considering the dead person because of this plague as a martyr. The fourth topic handles the ruling on fleeing the land on which the plague descended, and the scholars' doctrines about it. The fifth topic handles the relationship between Umawas plague and the new Corona Covid-19 epidemic. Then the conclusion, and it includes the most important findings and recommendations.
