Abstract

The current research aims to determine the current situation - strengths and weaknesses - of development programs
professional development in Yemen, and to identify the challenges and obstacles facing the professional development programs for teachers.
In order to achieve the goal of the research, we will address this issue from several aspects, namely:
First: The reality of the professional development programs for teachers in general that are implemented in the field in terms of
Statistics and content of training programs and the pros and cons of these programs.
The two researchers in this topic focus on the literature and statistics of the Ministry of Education and interview the officials
Training at the level of the ministry, governorate, and directorate, and the researchers’ knowledge and observation of the reality of
Professional development programs in the field.
Second: Challenges and Obstacles to Training and Professional Development Programs in Yemen.
The researchers found that the development of professional development programs in Yemen was done for primary school teachers
And there are many shortcomings and negatives in it. As for secondary school teachers, they did not implement development programs for them.
Professionalism Except for very few physics and mathematics teachers, and no professional development programs
Specialized for biology teachers so far
