Abstract

The study examined the features of Imam Al-Shafe'i's approach in devising legal provisions, and his approach of jurisdictional classification, by extrapolating the apparent recurrent matters in a number of issues from his own book "Al-'Omm".

 The study aims to highlight the approach of Imam Al-Shafe’i in jurisdictional classification, constructing Shari'a laws and collecting their related evidences.

To achieve the study objectives, an analytical and inductive design was used. The research was divided into an introduction, four chapters, and a conclusion that included results and recommendations. The results of the study revealed the emergence of many methodological features through his own book, indicating the height of his position.

The researcher suggested some recommendations, the most important was to take care of scholars' books and works, following their scientific methods and conductive approaches.
