The Significance of Measuring in the Interpretation of Al-Baydhawi An Explanatory Study

The goal of the research is to highlight the use of Al-Baydhawi for the significance of measuring in his interpretation, to derive the interpretative meanings of issues of faith and creed, or in jurisprudential provisions and morals and virtues. The researcher used the approach of induction and analysis in this interpretative study, and collected measuring applications from Al-Baydhawi's words in his interpretation of the verses.
The study was divided into: an introduction, and three chapters, dealing with:
The first chapter: introducing Al-Baydhawi and his interpretation.
The second chapter: defining measuring, its types and argumentative weight.
The third chapter: studying the applications of measuring significance in the interpretation of Al-Baydhawi via three subsections:
First: applications of measuring significance in issues of faith and creed.
Second: applications of measuring significance in jurisprudential provisions.
Third: applications of measuring significance in morals and virtues.
The study was concluded with the most important results reached by the researcher, the most important of which are:
- That measuring is one of the important tools of deduction in explaining the meanings of the words of God.
- That Al-Baydhawi used various types of measuring to highlight meanings and rulings in a number of different issues.
- Al-Baydhawi repeatedly used the type of significance measuring of: deducting one of the two counterparts from the other.
Based on the results, the researcher presented a number of important recommendations.
