The title: (The Suspicion of the Orientalist Gerges Sall about the Repetition in the Holy Qur’an - Presentation and Criticism). The research aims to clarify the opinion of the orientalist Gerges Sall about the occurrence of repetition in the Holy Qur’an and to reply to what he said about the occurrence of repetition in the Holy Qur’an, as well as to indicate the examples listed by the orientalist and to reply to them by citing the sayings of the interpreters. The approach followed is the descriptive analytical critical approach in replying to the examples listed by the orientalist. The findings of the research: repetition is an Arabic rhetorical method – familiar to the Arabs – that occurs in the Holy Qur’an and in the honorable Sunnah of the Prophet. The repetition in the Holy Qur’an is either in the word or in the meaning, and for all the examples listed by Gerges Sall, the scholars had explained the rule of repetition in them and showed their rhetoric. The orientalist Gerges Sall was not familiar with the language of the Arabs and did not have the slightest acquaintance with the books of interpretation as well. Among the recommendations: to study the rule and purposes of repetition in the Holy Qur’an, to study the issue of (balancing the topics in the Qur’anic and Prophetic repetition, and discussing the similarities and differences between them), and to study the subject of (diversity and distaste of repeating the word in the Holy Qur’an between sustaining and opposition).
