Surah Al-Hujurat Objective and semantic study

Abstract

The research aims to study Quranic topics and the semantics of the words contained in Surat Al-Hujurat.

The researcher relied on the analytical inductive method according to the rules of objective interpretation.

The research dealt with the definition of the surah, in terms of its name, the place of its revelation, the number of its verses, its purposes, the reasons for its revelation, its relevance to what came before and after it, its axes, the Qur’anic style in the surah and its characteristics, in addition to the verbal connotations and its semantic development, and the study of the topics of the surah represented in the literature of conversation with the Prophet ﷺ, and the importance of verifying the authenticity of the news, clarifying the importance of reform among believers, morals and morals, and the reality of faith in God Almighty.

At the end of this research, conclusions were drawn, the most important of which were:

1- Surat Al-Hujurat is a civil one, and it was revealed after the Hijrah.

2- The surah has more than one reason for revelation.

3- The reason for its name is the mention of the rooms of the mothers of the believers in them.

4- Its main focus is moral education.

5- All the axes of the surah revolve around its main axis, which is: (Encouraging virtuous morals and warning against their bad ones).

6- The semantic development of words can be applied to the Holy Qur’an.

7- Determining the exact meaning of the Qur’anic word, along with the many meanings of the word, is determined by the Qur’anic context.
