It has been relied on the rooting method and the analytical method.
The study concluded the following results:
- That night and day are two of the signs of God Almighty, and that it is a cosmic sign connected to the upper astronomical world; The Qur’an drew attention to it, and mentioned it more than once, as the word “night” was mentioned in the Holy Qur’an more than ninety times as previously.
- The word “night” is considered one of the verbal accomplices in the Holy Qur’an, which has one meaning with the difference of intent that changes with the context of the verse, and this meaning is the specific time period from sunset to the true dawn.
- The variety of occurrences of the word “night” in the Holy Qur’an, it came singular and plural, defined and denied, added and not added.
- Darkness is one of the necessities of the night, as it is one of its attributes that cannot be separated from it.
- The importance of the night in relation to creation appears from two aspects in general:
The first aspect: In terms of its benefits to creation, the alternation of night and day with it, life continues, and at night it is stillness, rest and calm, and during the day there is work and movement...etc.
The second aspect: from the point of view of taking the sermon and the lesson from their creation, and this is what the verses of the Holy Book called for.
