Abstract

The research dealt with the concept of affection in the language, the Qur’anic aspects of the term affection and its analogues and opposites, the types of affection in the Holy Qur’an, verbal and actual manifestations of affection in the Holy Qur’an, and the causes of affection in the Holy Qur’an.

It relied on the inductive and deductive method.

Important results were obtained, the most important of which are:

1- Affection: It is love in the language in which the Qur’an was revealed without any disagreement from one of the people of the language.

2- Affection has several levels, the instinctive level, the belief level, and the practical level, which are levels that are difficult to separate between, and it is also difficult to separate their motives at those levels, and therefore it is difficult to define affection with a comprehensive definition.

3- Intertwining is a permanent feature of emotions and psychological behavior in general, and that is why we found the commentators, whom we have looked at, defining affection in every place in a manner appropriate to the context, and few have stopped at one definition in all places.

4- Affection has varying levels that show the ability to develop it, and it is necessary to take advantage of this ability to develop affection among the members of the Muslim class, and direct that affection to what strengthens the relationship between them and increases the positive ties in them.

5- Affection varies into good and reprehensible types, at all levels.

6- Affection has verbal and practical manifestations that indicate it, and highlight it at any level.
