Abstract

The research presented the statement of the rule of coercion in religion through studying the saying of God, There is no compulsion in religion [Surat Al-Baqara: 256], and the researcher suggested that the verse is an unassigned or abrogated court, pure news in the sense that religion is not compulsory, but rather acceptance and acquiescence, and if God tells that it is not Compulsion in religion, this includes forbidding its occurrence, then the researcher was exposed to explain some of the issues related to this origin, which were represented in the goals of jihad in Islam and that there was no coercion on religion, and did Islam spread with the sword, and the rule of the apostate and does the matter of killing him contradict the verse under study.
