Abstract

The issue of disciplining children is one of the important topics that parents should be aware of، as this is in compliance with the command of God Almighty and following the guidance of the Prophet، peace and blessings be upon him. Moreover، it adjusts society and the piety of the Islamic nation. Discipline is meant to refer to correction and compensation، not reprimand and punishment. Some of what came in the Qur'an and Sunnah about the ways of disciplining children are: disciplining by directing and advising with tenderness and leniency، disciplining by insinuating anger، disciplining by hinting and exposing، by admonition and rebuking، by deserting and boycotting، and the last way is beating but with its legal controls. Then، if the child's condition is corrected، we must be pleasant and kind to him so that he feels the tenderness and compassion of his parents lest it reflects negatively on his psyche.

  • Disciplining what the parents find towards the children of cruelty and harshness in the event of their deviation or error.
    • Strengthening the relationship between children and parents and consolidating the bonds between them.

    • The punishment of minors is only prescribed for disciplining and instructing، not for gloating and torture.
    • Proper disciplining and conscious punishment provide young children with the best qualities and the most perfect morals.

    Most important recommendations:

The issue of disciplining children needs professional scientists and educating teachers to follow closely، so that the approach is detailed in precisely; this research is only a drop in the ocean of knowledge that only the Knower of the unseen can apprehend.
