Abstract

The research aims to clarify one of the important issues, to which many rulings relate, and many topics, related to the Muslim’s worship of his Lord, which is the issue of residence that affects the interruption of travel.

The research dealt with the definition of residency linguistically and idiomatically, and clarification of what is meant by it, the related words and their comparison with residency, and the jurists’ division of a person’s conditions in travel and residence into the traveler, the settled resident, and the non-settled resident, and what takes the rule of residence, and uninterrupted travel.

The researcher relied on the analytical method.
