Abstract

The research aims to clarify the name of faith according to the Sunnis through the evidence of the texts of revelation on the inclusion of the name of faith for speech and action.

The researcher has taken the inductive-analytical method in writing this research.

The research dealt with the term faith in the texts of revelation, the agreement of including the term faith for saying and action for the wisdom of the revelation of religion, and the answer of the Sunni imams about the texts that seem to illusion that the content of faith in confession.

The research came out with important results, the most important of which are:

1- Faith is one of the rulings received from God and His Messenger, may God bless him and grant him peace.

2- The required legal faith is nothing but belief, word and deed.

3- Faith increases with obedience and decreases with disobedience.
