Etiquettes of the Qur’an in the Qur’an - An Explanatory Analytical Study Doctrinal and Scientific Foundations in Purifying the Soul
Abstract
This study, which is entitled: (Doctrinal and scientific foundations in purifying the soul), aims to stress that purifying souls is from the greatest purposes of religion and the most dignified functions of the prophets and messengers, as well as among the most important requirements of their faithful followers. Purifying souls is the refinement of souls from vices and beautifying them with virtues, in sincerity to Allah the Almighty and following the example of the Messenger of Allah, may Allah's prayers and peace be upon him, through following the permissible paths and avoiding invented ways. There is no doubt that all religion is a path to purification, as the Islamic Shari'ah, with what it includes of beliefs, worships, morals, and legal rulings in various fields, is all a path to purifying souls, and this is all of the importance of purification.
It also focuses on highlighting the scientific and doctrinal foundations of purification, as the consolidation of faith is the strongest reason for purifying souls, because the six pillars of faith have great effects on the beliefs and morals of believers, and because behavior follows beliefs and perceptions, so righteousness of belief often requires correct behavior.
The current study relied on the desk-based descriptive analytical approach, relying on references and previous studies. The research was divided into five chapters: the first chapter: the definition of self-purification, the second chapter: the importance of self-purification, the third chapter: the doctrinal foundations of self-purification, the fourth chapter: scientific foundations in self-purification and the fifth chapter: the fruits of self-purification in the Islamic approach. Then follows the conclusion of the research, which includes the results and recommendations of the study.
