Building a Training Program based on the Methods and Techniques of the Holy Quran and the Sunnah in Education and Measuring its effect in Improving the Listening and Speaking Skills of Intermediary School Students

Abstract

The study aimed to build a training program based on the methods and techniques of the Holy Quran and the Sunnah in education and to measure its effect in improving the listening and speaking skills of intermediary school students. The study sample consisted of (31) students from the third intermediary grade, They were chosen intentionally from Al-Subeihi School in the Bishah Education Department, and were randomly distributed into two groups: one experimental (15) students, who were taught through the training program on the methods and techniques of the Holy Qur’an and the Prophet’s Sunnah in education, and the other control group of (16) students were taught in the acquainted method. To achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher prepared a speaking and listening observation card, and its validity and reliability were verified. The results of the study showed that there were statistically significant differences in favor of the experimental group in speaking and listening in the Arabic language subject attributable to the training program, and in favor of the experimental group. The study recommended the need to reconsider the methods of teaching and learning the Holy Qur’an and not stop teaching it at mere mastery and memorization.
