Imam Al-Dani, Al-Taysir fi Al-Qira’at Al-Sab’, Siyagh Al-Ada’, Al-Sama’ fi Al-Qira’at, Al-Talaqqi fi Al-Qira’at

Abstract

This research highlights the instances where Imam al-Dani explicitly stated what he had learned from his teachers in his book, al-Taysir.

The research aims to:

• Introduce Imam al-Dani.
• Identify the styles of transmission that Imam al-Dani used in his transmission from his teachers.
• Enumerate the number of these methods.

The researcher employed an inductive-analytical approach.

Through this research, several conclusions were reached, most notably:

- Imam al-Dani was not merely a reciter of the Quran, as is commonly believed, but also a scholar of Hadith. A person is not considered a scholar unless he has mastered a significant portion of various fields of knowledge.

- Document the chain of transmission for the recitation, as al-Taysir is considered one of the most important books on Quranic readings.

- Clarify Imam al-Dani's methodology in receiving and transmitting Quranic readings from his teachers.

- The passages in which Imam al-Dani explicitly stated what he had read to his teachers in his book al-Taysir are divided into two sections: Principles and Variations.

- The topics in which Imam al-Dani explicitly stated what he had read to his teachers regarding the Principles of Recitation, and which have been studied, are (14) topics.

- The topics in which Imam al-Dani explicitly stated what he had read to his teachers regarding the Variations of Recitation, and which have been studied, are (13) topics.
