The Extent of Availability of Creative Leadership Skills among Educational Leaders and the Requirements for their Development

Abstract

The study aimed to identify the degree of availability of creative leadership skills among educational leaders in the Jazan Education Administration and the requirements for their development. The researcher employed a descriptive methodology using a survey tool applied to 90 educational leaders in the General Administration of Education in the Jazan region and its affiliated offices. The study yielded several key findings, the most notable of which is that educational leaders in Jazan encourage collaborative work. Additionally, the study identified that one of the main challenges facing educational leaders in applying creative leadership is the abundance of routine tasks required daily, weekly, and monthly, as well as the duplication of work. Furthermore, the study found that one of the primary requirements for applying creative leadership, from the perspective of educational leaders in Jazan, lies in empowering them by granting the necessary authorities that enhance their ability to perform their tasks effectively and streamlining the required tasks periodically. The study also revealed that female educational leaders are more likely to agree on the availability of creative leadership skills in Jazan's educational leadership. The study recommended implementing advanced developmental programs for educational leaders in Jazan, focusing on designing specialized training programs that emphasize creative leadership and integrating modern technologies (such as artificial intelligence) into the educational process.
