The The Effectiveness of a Training Program Based on the SAMR Model in Developing Pedagogical Knowledge among First-Grade Teachers in Jordan

Abstract

The study aimed to reveal the effectiveness of a training program based on the SAMR model in developing pedagogical knowledge among teachers of the first three grades in Jordan. The study followed the experimental method with a pre-experimental design. The study was applied to (25) teachers of the first three grades in Bayader Wadi Al-Seer, who were selected using the available method, the study tool was a pedagogical knowledge test consisting of (65) multiple-choice items distributed into three dimensions: (knowledge of the content, knowledge of teaching methods and approaches, and knowledge of developmental characteristics), the results showed that there were statistically significant differences at the significance level (α = 0.05) between the pre- and post-averages of the study individuals on the pedagogical knowledge test in favor of the pre-application, attributed to the training program.

In light of the findings, the study recommended expanding the application of the training program based on the SAMR model to include all first-grade teachers in public and private schools, given its effectiveness in developing pedagogical knowledge.
